The Lions of West Africa are the team to watch out for Senegal showed its mettle in the African Nations Cup, in 2000, where it emerged runners up behind Cameroon.

The cream of the squad plays in the French league and it is France who they play in the tournament opener. Senegal is no push over as the accomplished Uruguay, Denmark and the reigning champs will find out.
