About the Game

In a court divided by a net, two teams each consisting 6 players, are matched against each other. Players compete by hitting a ball to the opponent's area using their hands and arms, thus vying for points.

One match consists of 5 sets. To win a set, a team must win 15 points ahead of the opponent. The first team to win 3 sets wins the game. However, if the score of a set is 14-14, the game is continued until eitherof the teams wins two straight points. A point is scored only when the team serving the ball succeeds with its attack. However, a rally point system is adopted for the 5th set.

Offensive manuevers include: back attack, open spiking, delayed spiking, feint, and quick spiking (A, B, C, D quick, and parallel spiking).

A Group India, Iran, Korea, Macau, Qatar

B Group China, Japan, Pakistan, Chinese Taipei

Women's:
Participating nations: Japan, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, Korea, China and Kazakhstan
