India's highest ranked squash player Joshna Chinappa made it to the final qualifying of the main draw in the US $25,9000 Harrow Greenwich Open.
She came from behind to get the better of a fighting Alexandra Norman of EnglandĀ in Connecticut on Tuesday night.
The fifth seeded Indian, ranked 37 in the WISPA, takes on third seed, Aisling Blake (32 ranked) of Ireland in the final qualifying, to be held on Wednesday night.
Chinappa, seeded fifth in the qualifying event, had to exert every sinew against 68th ranked Norman before winning at 8-11, 13-11, 11-9, 19-21, 11-6 in 64 minutes.
The main draw of 16 for the tournament has a strong field, headed by world number 2 Natalie Grinham of Netherlands, the top seed, and second seeded Omeneya Abdel Kawy (7th).
Blake had defeated Larissa Stehenson of New Zealand 11-9, 5-11, 11-9, 11-2, while top seed in qualifying Latasha Khan (USA) beat Tara Mullins of Canada 11-2, 11-7, 11-6.
