The fifth-seeded Indian will next face Adrianti Firdasari of Indonesia, who also withdrew against Finland's Anu Nieminen. The tournament started on Tuesday with the finals slated on January 18.
The other Indian in fray in the women's singles, Aditi Mutatkar, will meet Julia Pei Xian of Malaysia in the first round on Wednesday.
The Indian men's contingent will start their campaign on Wednesday with Arvind Bhat facing compatriot Chetan Anand while P Kashyap will be up against seventh-seed Przemyslav Wacha of Poland.
Anup Sridhar faces Wei NG of Hong Kong and Anand Pawar will meet Malaysian Mohamad Arif Abdul Latif.
The men's doubles pair of Rupesh Kumar and Sanave Thomas too got a walkover against Indonesian pair Wijaya Rendra and Joko Riyadi in the first round.
In mixed doubles, India's V Diju and Jwala Gutta will begin their campaign tomorrow in the first round against Yeon Seong Yoo and Min Jung Kim of Japan.
