Sania Mirza's challenge in the WTA Dubai Open ended on Thursday when she, along with her Italian partner Mara Santangelo, were beaten by the American-Zimbabwean combine of Liezel Huber and Cara Black in the second round.
The top seeds won 6-3, 6-3.
Sania had earlier crashed out of the singles, losing her second round match 5-7, 2-6 to world No 24 Kaia Kanepi of Estonia on Tuesday.
Kanepi went on to take out third seed Jelena Jankovic of Serbia 6-2, 7-5 on Thursday.
Sania earned 60 WTA ranking points and prize-money of US $10,275 for making the second round
