Briton Andy Murray beat world number one Rafael Nadal 6-3, 4-6, 6-0 in a disappointing injury-marred World Indoor Tournament final on Sunday.
Murray, who also won in Qatar last month, was less troubled by his ankle injury than Nadal by his right knee after he had a medical time-out three games into the second set.
Both players then dropped serve four times in a row, handing the second set to Nadal who could not put any power into his service but refused to give up.
Earlier, Nadal chalked up his 11th victory in a row on Saturday, defeating unwell Frenchman Gael Monfils 6-4, 6-4 to reach the final.
Murray destroyed Croatian Mario Ancic 6-1, 6-2.
