Indian woman shuttler Saina Nehwal on Thursday sailed into the quarterfinal of the ongoing Yonex Chinese Taipei Open Badminton, beating Hong Kong's Kwan Yi Mong 21-8, 21-12.
Second seeded Saina, who is playing in her first tournament since making it to the quarterfinal of the Beijing Olympics, will now lock horn with Porntip Buranaprasertsuk of Thailand, who defeated Shih Han Huang 20-22, 21-12, 23-21.
Saina beat Singapore's Mingtian Fu 21-19, 21-19 earlier in the Grand Prix event.
