Reigning national champion Isha Lakhani continued her winning streak by progressing to the semi-finals while her compatriot Ankita Bhambri crashed out of the $ 25,000 ITF event in Lagos, Nigeria.
Third seed Isha, he lone Indian left in the fray now, defeated Belgium's seventh seed Tamaryn Hendler 6-3, 6-2 to set up a clash with second seed Slovakian Zuzana Kucova.
Zuzana took revenge for her semifinal defeat against Ankita in the last week's competition at the same venue as he sent packing the Indian 6-4, 6-1 in the quarterfinals.
Meanwhile, in the men's event at he same venue, left handed Divij Sharan continued his impressive run as he stormed into the singles semifinals after defeating local favourite Abdul-Mumin Babalola 6-2, 4-6, 7-5 in the quarterfinals.
The Delhi-based player had also toppled the top seed Pavel Chekhov in the second round. He next faces third seed Austrian Andreas Haider Maurer.
