Somdev Devvarman and Nathar Healy squandered the advantage of winning the first set and went down in the final of the US $50,000 Calabasas Challenger in California, US.
Somdev and his Australian partner, who entered the main draw of the doubles event as qualifier, were defeated by the second-seeded Serbian pair of Llia Bozoljac and Dusan Vemic 6-1, 3-6, 11-13.
The India-Australian pair was off to a brilliant start, pocketing the first set 6-1 without much hassle, but failed to reproduce the same form thereafter.
After losing the second set, Somdev-Healy pulled themselves together and came up with an improved performance in the third set which went to the tie-breaker. However, they lost the plot in the end as the second seeded Serbian duo clinched the thrilling third set 13-11.
