Marcin Matkowski and Mariusz Fyrstenberg of Poland won their second ATP title of the season on Sunday with a 6-4, 6-2 victory over fourth seeds Mahesh Bhupathi and Mark Knowles in the final of the Mutua Madrilena Masters Madrid.

It is the first ATP Masters Series title for the Poles, who finished runners-up to Bob and Mike Bryan in the Madrid final last year.

One break in the ninth game was sufficient to seal the opening set for Fyrstenberg and Matkowski and they quickly built on their advantage, breaking to lead 2-0 in the second set.

They were briefly pegged back by Bhupathi and Knowles, who leveled for 2-2, however they went on to break serve twice more in the fifth and seventh games to secure victory after one hour.
