A ten-man Chirag United put up a fine display to beat Vasco Sports Club 3-1 in the ONGC I-League at the Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata on Tuesday.
Despite playing with ten men for 71 minutes -- Dulal Biswas was shown red card in the 19th minute for a rough tackle on Vasco striker Robson -- Chirag played superbly and led 3-0 before conceding a goal in the dying minutes.
Vasco went down to an own goal in the 44th minute when defender Fulkan, trying to clear Chirag midfielder Snehashish Chakraborty's shot, put the ball into his own net.
Striker Subair Muritala Ali bulged the net a minute after the breather to make it 2-0 and then headed home his second goal of the day.
Vasco striker Sherzoo reduced the margin.
