Leander Paes and his Czech partner Lukas Dlouhy entered the third round of the French Open after a straight-sets win over Jose Acasuso and Sebastian Prieto of Argentina in Paris on Friday.
Ninth seeds Paes-Dlouhy beat the clay-court specialists 6-4, 6-4 in 58 minutes after another solid performance.
India's Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna dropped out of contention after losing their respective first round matches on Thursday.
Bhupathi, partnering Mark Knowles, lost 4-6, 4-6 to Great Britain's Ross Hutchins and Stephen Huss of Australia. Later, Bopanna and Pakistan's Aisam Qureshi went down 1-6, 4-6 to top seeds Mike and Bob Bryan of America.
