Top seed Rushmi Chakravarthi of India [ Images ] bagged the doubles crown partnering Poojashree Venkatesha and later stormed into the singles final in the Federal Bank [ Get Quote ] ITF Women's Tennis tournament in Angamaly (Kerala [ Images ]) on Friday.

In the doubles final, Rushmi-Poojashree combine defeated Geetha Manohar-Archana Venkataraman 6-1, 7-5.

Later, in singles semifinals, Rushmi defeated Miki Miyamura (Japan [ Images ]) 6-4, 6-2.

In the other semifinal, Magda Okruashvili of Georgia, beat giant killer Shalini Sahoo (Ind) 6-3, 6-2. Shalini had  earlier shocked higher ranked Swedish player Prerana in the second round and in the quarter-finals had defeated compatriot Swetha Solanki.
