Top seed Rushmi Chakravarthi of India bagged the doubles crown partnering Poojashree Venkatesha and later stormed into the singles final in the Federal Bank ITF Women's Tennis tournament in Angamaly (Kerala) on Friday.
In the doubles final, Rushmi-Poojashree combine defeated Geetha Manohar-Archana Venkataraman 6-1, 7-5.
Later, in singles semifinals, Rushmi defeated Miki Miyamura (Japan) 6-4, 6-2.
In the other semifinal, Magda Okruashvili of Georgia, beat giant killer Shalini Sahoo (Ind) 6-3, 6-2. Shalini had earlier shocked higher ranked Swedish player Prerana in the second round and in the quarter-finals had defeated compatriot Swetha Solanki.
