The eighth seeded Paes and Hanley lost 2-6, 1-6 to third seeds Daniel Nestor [ Images ] of Canada [ Images ] and Nenad Zimonjic of Serbia.

Erlich and Ram defeated Paul-Henri Mathieu of France [ Images ] and Radek Stepanek of Czech Republic 6-2, 6-2 in their first round match late last night.
