The eighth seeded Indian Davis Cuppers, who had a bye in the first round, got a walkover in the second, as their opponents, Chilean Fernando Gonzalez and Ecuadorean Nicolas Lapentti, opted out of the contest.
The duo meet second seeds Daniel Nestor of Canada and Nenad Zimonzic of Serbia for a place in the semi-finals.
Nestor and Zimonzic got the better of Australians Paul Henley and Todd Perry 7-5, 6-2.
