Leander Paes and partner Lukas Dlouhy stormed into the doubles semi-finals in the 713,000 euros Gerry Weber Open tennis tournament in Halle, Germany, on Thursday.
The fourth seeded Indo-Czech combine defeated Germany's Michael Berrer and Tommy Haas 6-3, 6-4 in 56 minutes to set up a meeting with Ivan Lubicic of Croatia and Robin Soderling of Sweden.
Paes and Dlouhy held their nerve and saved three break-points to take the first set in just 25 minutes, breaking twice from the three opportunities they got.
In the second set, the first seven games went with serve, before Paes and Dlouhy got the vital break in the ninth game to go up 5-4. They then served out the set.
