Dinara Safina reached the French Open final with a 6-3, 6-2 win over fellow Russian and fourth seed Svetlana Kuznetsova on Thursday.
The 13th seeded Safina will meet either Jelena Jankovic or Ana Ivanovic, both from Serbia, in her first grand slam final on Saturday.
With Kuznetsova struggling dreadfully on her service games, Safina claimed the opening set after 39 minutes when the fourth seed sent a forehand wide.
One day after saving a match point in her three-set win over Elena Dementieva, Safina showed no sign of fatigue and sealed the win after one hour and 27 minutes when Kuznetsova sent another forehand wide.
