The finals jinx continued to haunt Rohan Bopanna as he lost his fourth doubles title match at the Campbell's Hall of Fame Tennis Championships in Newport.
- Amritraj falls under the Magician's spell
Bopanna and his Pakistani partner Aisam Qureshi, went down 6-4, 7-6(1) to unseeded American duo of Mardy Fish and John Isner in the final on Sunday.
The loss capped a disappointing day for India, as Davis Cupper Prakash Amritraj was beaten 6-3, 7-5 by second-seeded Frenchman Fabrice Santoro in his first tour final.
Earlier in the tournament, Bopanna had upset top seed Fish to enter the quarter-finals in the singles.
Fish and Isner saved all four break points they faced in the match and converted once from four break opportunities on their opponents' serves.
Bopanna and Qureshi slip to 0-2 in career ATP finals as a team, having finished runners-up to Jarkko Nieminen and Robert Lindstedt in Mumbai last September.
