Mahesh Bhupathi and Mark Knowles of Bahamas failed to keep up their stunning form as they went down to Israel's Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram in the semi-final of the men's doubles at the Australian Open.

The sixth seeds, who had knocked out top seeded pair of Mike and Bob Bryan in the earlier round, lost 4-6, 4-6 to the Israeli duo in Melbourne on Thursday.
Erlich-Ram, seeded eighth, will meet Arnaud Clement and Michael Llodra of France in the final. Wimbledon champions Llodra-Clement beat South African duo Jeff Coetzee and Wesley Moodie 6-3, 7-6 in the other semi-final.
Bhupathi and Sania Mirza and will take on the eighth seeds Nathalie Dechy of France and Andy Ram in the semi-final of the mixed doubles on Friday.
