The Indian campaign at the US Open qualifying round was brought to a quick end as Prakash Amritraj and Sunitha Rao lost their respective matches on Tuesday.

Sunitha Rao went down 3-6, 4-6 to Soledad Esperon of Argentina in the women's singles first round qualifiers.
In the men's singles, top ranked Indian, Amritraj lost by an identical score to America's Ryan Sweeting.
Davis Cuppers Rohan Bopanna and Somdev Devvarman failed to make the cut for the qualifying event at the Grand Slam.
