Liverpool and Chelsea [ Images ] drew 1-1 in the first leg of their Champions League [ Images ] semi-final at Anfield on Tuesday after a stoppage-time own goal from the home side's John Arne Riise.

Dutchman Dirk Kuyt [ Images ] gave Liverpool the lead after 43 minutes when he fired between goalkeeper Petr Cech's [ Images ] legs.

Although Chelsea started the better side, Liverpool gradually gained control of the match but in the fifth minute of injury time Riise headed home an awkward cross from Salomon Kalou [ Images ] to leave the tie balanced for next week's second leg at Stamford Bridge [ Images ].

The winners will play either Manchester United [ Images ] or Barcelona [ Images ], who meet tomorrow in the other semi-final, in final in Moscow [ Images ] on May 21.
