Former Nigerian World Cup player Emeka Ezeugo has been signed up as head coach of Churchill Brothers.
Ezeugo replaces Moroccan Karim Bencherifa, who resigned in March to join Mohan Bagan.
Churchill Brothers' patron Churchill Alemao said the club is proud to have Emeka as coach and his club is looking forward to reaching newer heights this season.
Emeka, who played for East Bengal and Mohammedan Sporting, has tremendous experience, having toured Malaysia, Singapore, Bangladesh, Denmark, Spain and Hungary.
The United States, where he played and coached, was his recent destination before the Churchill Brothers' offer.
Emeka, who will be coaching an Indian club for the first time, will join Churchill in June. He said he will try to run the club more professionally, "as it is important that we improve the players' attitude, besides making them realise that playing is not just job".
"Football is a larger than life sport and needs to involve the officials, players and coaches together to move forward," he said.
Churchill Brothers have retained most of the players that played last season.
Former Salgaocar foreign recruit Felix C along with Air India's Dhanachandra and ex-Sporting Clube player Nicholas Rodrigues are the club's new players.
