India's Leander Paes and his Czech partner Martin Damm crashed out of the Madrid Masters, going down in straight sets to the Australian pair of Jordan Kerr and Todd Perry.
The seventh seeds lost 2-6, 3-6 to Kerr-Perry in the second round on Wednesday.
Paes-Damm received a bye in the first round while the Australians were fresh from an upset win over Fabrice Santoro of France and Swiss Yves Allegro.
Though Santoro-Allegro were not seeded for the tournament, they are experienced campaigners and were trumped 6-3, 7-6 (3) by Kerr and Perry in the first round.
