Viva Kerala stunned Mohun Bagan 3-1 to register their first win in the I-league in Kolkata on Thursday.
This meant Mohun Bagan slumped to their second successive defeat.
The first goal was a brilliant combination between the two foreigners of Viva Kerala. Wisdom Abbey sent a neat pass to Baba Tunde inside the box whose angular shot made it 1-0 for the visitors in the 22nd minute.
In the 25 minutes Wisdom Abbey made the most of a Shilton Paul's faulty clearance, slotting into the empty net to make it 2-0 for the visitors. 68 minutes into the match Isfaq reduced one for the home team.
His neat placement of a Lalkamal through left Kerala goalie stranded (1-2).
But Wisdom had other ideas. He latched on to a Vimal cross to fire home in the 88th minute to kill any such chance of a comeback (3-1).
