Vivek Shokeen defeated Aqeel Khan in straight sets to give India a 1-0 lead in the second edition of the India-Pakistan tennis series in Lahore on Tuesday.
On the opening day, Shokeen beat Khan 6-4, 6-4 in the clash between the second ranked players of both the countries.
On Wednesday, national champion Ashutosh Singh will take on home team's Aisam-ul Haq Qureshi in the battle of the top seeds.
The series played in two legs in its inaugural year in 2006 will only be played in Pakistan this time.
