Vivek Shokeen stunned top seed Adam Vejmelka of the Czech Republic in straight sets to advance to the semi-finals of US $10,000 ITF grasscourt tournament in Lahore on Thursday.
Seventh seed Shokeen beat Adam 6-3, 6-2 in the quarter-final match.
Also advancing to the last four stage was fourth seed Divij Sharan, who hardly broke a sweat to beat unseeded Hsien-Yin Peng of Taipei 6-0, 6-1.
However, Sunil Kumar Sipaeya's campaign ended as he lost his quarter-final match to his doubles partner Pakistani Aqeel Khan.
Third-seed Sunil squandered a first set lead to go down fighting 7-5, 4-6, 6-7(2).
The Indo-Pak pair of Sunil and Aqeel later faltered at the final hurdle as they lost the doubles title match to Harshana Godamanna of Sri Lanka and Bart Govaerts of Belgium 4-6, 6-3, 6-10.
In the singles semi-finals, Shokeen will take on local hope Aqeel and Divij will face off with eight seed Taipei player Hsin-Han Lee on Friday.
