Top seed Karan Rastogi entered the quarter-finals of the ITF men's Futures Tennis Tournament, scoring a 6-1, 6-7(6), 6-1 victory over Sanam Singh in the second round in Chandigarh on Wednesday.
Rastogi will next take on Purav Raja, who upset sixth seed Navdeep Singh 6-2, 6-1.
In another major upset, second seed Vivek Shokeen went down 6-4, 1-6, 4-6 to Vishal Punna. Punna's upset win set him up for a last-eight clash with seventh seed Aditya Madkekar.
Prakash Amritraj also booked himself a quarter-final berth after rallying from a set down to beat Vishnu Vardhan 4-6, 6-4, 6-4. He will be up against third seed Sunil Kumar Sipaeya, who trounced Dilshod Sharifi 6-1, 6-1.
Fourth seed Vijay Kannan, meanwhile, beat Stephen Amritraj 6-4, 6-4 and will take on Tushar Liberhan in the quarter-finals.
