Sania Mirza won her first WTA Tour title of the season, clinching the doubles crown at the US $145,000 Morocco Open with American Vania King at Fes on Saturday.
Sania and Vania thrashed the duo of Romanian Andreea Ehritt-Vanc and Anastasia Rodionova of Russia 6-1, 6-2 in the final of the clay court women's tennis tournament.
This is Sania's fourth career title and her first outside India.
The 20-year-old Hyderabadi had earlier won the Hyderabad Open in 2004, the Bangalore Open and Sunfeast Open in Kolkata in 2006.
Liezel Huber of South Africa was the partner on those three occasions.
Sania and Vania, the top seeds, got on top of their opponents from the beginning and did not let them to settle into the match.
The victory will be a welcome morale boost for Sania, who lost in the first round of the singles competition to Maria Emilia Salerni of Argentina.
Sania was playing after a two-and-a-half months break due to a knee injury.
