Indian spikers beat Turkmenistan

Indian spikers continued their fine form beating Turkmenistan in straight sets in the second Asian Central Zone Championship in Islamabad [ Images ].

The Indians beat the Central Asians 25-18, 25-23, 25-18 in an hour-long contest.

Mandeep Singh was the star performer for them along with libero Sivarajan and Ukkrapandian.

Since losing to Iran in their opening encounter, India [ Images ] has been on a winning spree beating Sri Lanka [ Images ], defending champions Kazakhstan and hosts Pakistan before getting the better of Turkmenistan in their fifth match at the Liaquat Gymnasium on Sunday.

They will now take on Maldives [ Images ] in their final match of the seven-team tournament.
