Prakash Amritraj reconfirmed his status as premier singles player in the country by clinching his second successive title at the USD 10,000 ITF Futures men's tennis tournament in Dehradun on Saturday.
Amritraj defeated Karan Rastogi 6-1, 6-2 in the final, maintaining his stranglehold over the top seed whom he had beaten in last week's summit clash in Chandigarh.
It was only the second career title at this level for Amritraj, the US-born son of former Davis Cup player Vijay.
The 23-year-old pocketed USD 1300 in winner's cheque while Rastogi earned USD 900.
The ITF caravan moves to Delhi next week.
