Bhuita guides India to victory

Baichung Bhutia scored a brace as the Indian football team registered a convincing 3-0 victory over Portugal's third division side Recreativo Agueda at the Estadio Municipal in Lisbon on Sunday.

Bhutia's goals in 63rd and 86th minutes guided India [ Images ] to its first victory in two matches on the Portugal tour.

India were 1-0 up at half-time through a goal scored by Manjit Singh in the 27th minute.

The team will now lock horns with another third division outfit, A C Marinhense, on Thursday before the final game against Estoril Praia on Saturday.

In the opening match, India drew with second division side Odivelas FC 1-1.
