Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-ul Haq Qureshi entered the doubles semi-finals after a hard-fought win over Dominiq Meffert and Simon Stadler of Germany in the US $25,000 ATP Challenger in Manchester, England, on Friday.
The Indo-Pak combination, seeded third, defeated Meffert and Stadler 6-3, 5-7, 10-7 in the quarter-finals on a rain-hit day at the grass court men's tennis tournament.
The duo are scheduled to play their last-four match too later in the day.
But Bopanna's much awaited second round singles tie against Qureshi was postponed due to the rain.
Meanwhile, Prakash Amritraj advanced to the quarter-finals of US $75,000 Comerica Challenger Series in Aptos, California.
The Indian, playing on a wildcard, carved out a hard-fought 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 (4) victory over American Brian Wilson to set up a tough encounter against fifth seed Brunc Echagaray of Mexico in the hard-court event.
Echagaray beat American Todd Widom 6-4, 6-1.
