Wild card Prakash Amritraj notched his maiden victory on the ATP Tour this season, beating Serbian Ilia Bozolijac in the first round of the Hall of Fame Championships at Newport, Rhode Island.
The US-based Indian youngster rallied from a set down to come through 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 on Tuesday.
The victory saw Amritraj set up a second round clash with wild card Scovile Jenkins of the United States.
Meanwhile, Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi pulled off the biggest surprise when he upstaged top seed American Mardy Fish.
The Pakistan Davis Cup ace won 6-3, 6-4.
Interestingly, a top seed has never won the tournament in its 31-year history.
Amritraj, whose father Vijay was a three-time champion at the championships, has teamed up with Qureshi for the doubles. The wild card entrants are up against top seeds Wesley Moodie of South Africa and Fabrice Santoro of France in the first round.
