Bangalore-based Hindustan Aeronautics Limited Sports Club and Mohammedan Sporting played out a goalless draw despite producing some good, attacking football in a fourth round match of the National Football League in Kolkata on Monday.
With just three points and one respectively in their kitty, Mohammedan and HAL were desperate for victory. But the inability of their strikers to make good the many scoring chances that came their way saw them forced to rest content with a point each from the outing.
HAL found the going a bit tough in alien conditions, but their desperation to stay afloat in the league was evident by their all-out game.
The home team's players had the larger share of ball possession as well as chances, but just could not find the net.
Mohammedan Sporting's Habibur Rahman was adjudged man of the match.
