Living up to his reputation, world champion Manavjit Singh won the gold in the trap event and enabled Punjab to clinch the team championship at the National Shooting Championship in Jaipur.
Seema Tomar also sparkled with her performance and emerged champion in the women's event.
Manavjit scored 138 points out of 150 in the final round while Birendeep Sodhi was just a score behind to take the silver.
The bronze went to Mansher Singh, who scored 132.
The women's section saw Seema (89) finishing far ahead of second-placed Shagun Choudhary (80). Varsha Tomar (69) bagged the bronze.
The team championships went to Punjab with 329 points, riding on the good performance of Manavjit, Mansher and Raninder Singh.
Indian Airlines (321) and Andhra Pradesh (302) were placed second and third respectively.
