Churchill Brothers returned to their scoring ways in the I-League when they overcame East Bengal to register an entertaining 3-2 win in Margao on Thursday.
East Bengal set off the scoring with Edmilson Marques scoring in the 26th minute.
But thereafter it was Odafe Onyeka Okolie's show all the way as he pumped in three goals before the break - in the 32nd, a 41st minute penalty and the 44th minute - to out the issue beyond the visiting Kolkata side.
His hat trick was good enough to earn him the Man of the Match award. He has taken his goals tally to five, with Edmilson leading the table at six. The Brazilian missed a penalty for East Bengal, one which could have changed the course of the game.
On Friday, Sporting Clube-de-Goa (2 points), struggling to find their form, will look to make the most of their home advantage when they take on Mahindra United (3 points).
