Former world number one Martina Hingis swept to the second title of her comeback year, subduing Russian teenager Olga Poutchkova 6-0, 6-4 in the final of the Sunfeast Kolkata Open on Sunday.
The Swiss top seed overawed her 18-year-old opponent, who was playing her maiden WTA final, in the first set but then had to rally from 1-3 down as Poutchkova fought back with some superb shots.
Hingis, who also won this year's Italian Open, clinched victory in her fourth final of the year in under an hour, claiming her 42nd career title.
The five-time Grand Slam singles winner retired in 2002 due to foot and ankle injuries but made a full-time comeback in January.
India's Sania Mirza and Liezel Huber of South Africa won the doubles title, beating the third seeded pair of Ukraine's Yulia Beygelzimer and Yuliana Fedak 6-4, 6-0 in the final.
