Mahesh Bhupathi and his Croatian partner Mario Ancic stormed into the final of the Beijing Open ATP tennis tournament, defeating Kristian Pless of Denmark and Danai Udomchoke of Thailand in straight sets in Beijing on Saturday.
The Indo-Croat duo did not allow their opponents to settle down and dominated the match throughout with some excellent passing shots and powerful serves to score a 6-1, 6-2 victory.
In Sunday's final, Bhupathi and Ancic will meet Michael Berrer of Germany and Kenneth Carlsen of Denmark.
For Ancic, it will be a grueling Sunday, as he has also entered the final of the men's singles and would face Marcos Baghdatis from Cyprus, who defeated Paradorn Srichaphan of Thailand 6-2, 3-6, 7-5 in an exciting semi-final.
Earlier, in the first semi-final, Michael Berrer of Germany and Kenneth Carlsen of Denmark beat China's Yu Xinyuan and Zeng Shaoxuan 6-3, 6-4 to enter the final.
