The 18th Commonwealth Games star managed a low 580 points and also lost another opportunity of grabbing a quota place for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
India's golden shooter in the Melbourne Games, Jung, shot a series of 96,96,96,97,98 and 97.
Zongliang of China won the Gold with a score of 689.2 (586+103.2), while the Silver went to Joao Costa of Portugal, who tallied 686.3 (585+101.3).
Vladimir Isakov of Russia fired 684.8 (583+101.8) to settle for the bronze.
Other Indians in the fray, Vivek Singh and Ronak Pandit, came 64th and 93rd respectively. Vivek shot 572 while Ronak scored 565.
The Olympic quota place in the event was won by Norayr Bakhtamyan of Armenia who finished seventh.
In the women's section, Shweta Chowdhary finished 19th in the 10m Air Pistol Women. Shweta shot a score of 382 with a series of 94,97,98 and 93.
Another Indian, Annuraj Singh came 21st with a score of 381 while Sonia Rai, who won the bronze in the Brazil edition of the World Cup, finished a disappointing 86th with a score of 369 (96,91,90,92).
