Formula One driver Michael Schumacher visited Germany's World Cup squad at their training camp in Switzerland on Monday.
"I accepted the invitation gladly," said Schumacher, who lives in Switzerland and had lunch with his countrymen at their Geneva hotel. "I'm keeping my fingers crossed for them.
The World Cup hosts are training in Switzerland until May 30. They play the first match of the World Cup against Costa Rica in Munich on June 9.
"It's a nice spot," the seven-times world champion told the German Football Association. "It's a good place to prepare."
