Ritwik Bhattacharya entered the quarter-finals of the Atlanta Open Squash tournament after getting past qualifier Robbie Lingashi of Zambia.
The top-ranked Indian player outclassed Linghash 11-2 in the first game of their pre-quarterfinal tie before the African was forced to retire after spraining his ankle at the start of the second game.
The Indian player, who has broken into the top 50 of the world men's rankings, next plays Shawn De Lierre of Canada.
