India bag silver in 4x400m relay

India [ Images ] bagged the silver medal in the women's 4x400m relay at the 18th Commonwealth Games [ Images ] in Melbourne [ Images ] on Saturday.
The quartet of Rajwinder Kaur, Chitra Soman, Manjit Kaur and Pinki Parmanik completed the race in 3:29.57 to bag India's second athletics medal at the mega event.
England [ Images ] had earlier won the event but were later disqualified, giving Australia [ Images ] the gold.
The local team of Jana Pittman, Caitlin Willis, Tamasyn Lewis and Rosemary Hayward won with a time of 3:28.66 while Nigeria claimed the bronze with a timing of 3:31.83
