Anuja, Vijay win gold

Anuja Jung won the gold in the women's 50m rifle three position shooting event at the Commonwealth Games [ Images ] in Melbourne [ Images ] on Thursday.

Anuja, wife of Indian shooting sensation Samaresh Jung, fired a total of 670.7 (574+96.7) to take the top place.

South African Esmari Van Reenen bagged the silver with 670 (576+94) and Malaysian Nur Suryani picked the bronze for 668 (576+92).

The shooters continued their domination on Thursday as Vijay Kumar won the gold in men's 25m Rapid Fire Pistol shooting event.

Pemba Tamang won the silver medal for India [ Images ]. Malaysia's Amir Hasli Izwan claimed the bronze.
