Indian Airlines, Bharat Petroleum in final

Bharat Petroleum will take on Indian Airlines in the final of the Maharaja Ranjit Singh hockey tournament in Delhi on Sunday.

In the semi-finals, at the Shivaji stadium on Saturday, Bharat Petroleum beat Punjab and Sind Bank (PSB) 4-2 while Indian Airlines got the better of Indian Oil 3-1

Amar Aiyamma scored a brace (21st, 59th minute) to help Bharat Petroleum post a convincing win over PSB.

Len Aiyappa (53rd minute) and Pundlik Bellary (56th) were the other scorers for the winners.

Sharanjit Singh (39th) and Ajit Pal Singh (47th) sounded the board for the bankmen.

In the other semi-final, Gurpreet Singh scored twice (44th, 61st minute) and Birender Lakra (39th) once in Indian Airlines's victory over Indian Oil.

Raghunath PV (46th minute) accounted for Indian Oil's goal.
