Croatia's Mario Ancic successfully defended his Den Bosch men's title on Saturday, beating Jan Hernych of the Czech Republic 6-0, 5-7, 7-5.
Dutch teenager Michaella Krajicek, sister of 1996 Wimbledon champion Richard Krajicek, beat Russian number two seed Dinara Safina 6-3, 6-4 to win the women's title.
Ancic's performance at the Wimbledon warm-up tournament put him back in the top 10 of the ATP rankings.
It looked to be plain sailing for Ancic, 22, after he took the first set 6-0 in just 22 minutes but Hernych got a better grip on the towering Croat's 200kph serve in the second set.
Ancic handed Hernych the set with a double fault.
He continued to struggle to hold serve in the third set, saving four break points but took his only chance at breaking the 26-year-old Czech player's serve, at 6-5 in the final set, to win the match.
At Wimbledon next week, Ancic is seeded seventh and will meet Spain's Nicolas Almagro in the first round.
Krajicek, 17 said she had hoped only for a first-round win at Den Bosch.
"I never thought that I would be the winner in the end, this is crazy. Now I'm really ready for Wimbledon but it will nonetheless be tough to survive the first round."
Krajicek faces Samantha Stosur of Australia at the London grasscourt Grand Slam.
