India's Sania Mirza will take on Victoria Azarenka of Belarus in the first round of the Australian Open, starting on Monday.
Sania, seeded 32, should have it easy against Azarenka, who had to play the qualifiers to make it to the first round.
The 16-year-old Azarenka, who is ranked 155th in the world, is making her maiden appearance at the Australian Open.
Sania is the lone Indian in the singles as Rohan Bopanna, Prakash Amritraj and Shikha Uberoi failed to get past their qualifying matches.
Sania's meteoric rise in 2005 started with the Australian Open, where she made it to the third round, before going down to Serena Williams.
