JCT Mills overwhelmed Mohammedan Sporting 2-0 in the ongoing 10th edition of the National Football League, at the Guru Nanak stadium in Ludhiana, on Thursday.
JCT not only avenged the defeat they suffered against the Kolkata outfit in the first meeting in the league, but also garnered three points to surge ahead of the Kolkata side after the 14th round encounter.

The win took JCT's tally to 17 points while the visitors stay put on 14 points.
JCT dominated the proceedings throughout the match, making repeated forays into the Mohammedan Sporting territory. However, the much-need goal came only in the second session.
In the 48th minute, Daljit Singh's throw-in was well taken by Renedy Singh, who despatched the ball into the net, much to the chagrin of Mohammedan Sporting goalkeeper Arindam Ghosh.
Buoyed by the success, JCT went all out to increase the lead, but found Arindam Ghosh a hard nut to crack.
But they did pierce the Sporting defence again in the 64th minute, when Sunil Chhetri gave a parallel pass to Parveen Kumar, who scored a fine goal to make it 2-0.
They could have increased the lead but poor finishing and some good goalkeeping denied them further success.
JCT next take on Sporting Clube de Goa in Ludhiana on May 2.
