US-based Neha Uberoi went out of the WTA Charleston Cup in the second round when she lost to ninth seeded Spaniard Anabel Medina Garrigues in straight sets.
Neha, a wild card at the event, found the going tough and went down 6-3, 6-4 win in the USD 1,340,000 Tier I event in South Carolina in the United States.
Neha, sister of Indian Fed Cupper Shikha Uberoi, broke Medina's service twice in the first set but was broken four times herself.
Four double faults at crucial stages did not help her cause as she lost the set in 37 minutes.
In the second, Neha broke Medina's serve once but the girl from Spain converted two break points and wrapped up the match in an hour and 22 minutes.
Neha had earlier defeated veteran American Lisa Raymond 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 in the first round.
