Border Security Force and Punjab and Sind Bank will clash for the Beighton Cup hockey title after winning their semi-final matches in Kolkata on Sunday.
PSB came from behind to beat Army XI 2-1 while BSF overcame Indian Airlines 7-6 via the tie-breaker after full-time ended 1-1.
In the first semi-final between PSB and Army XI, E Lakra scored a field goal in the 28th minute to put the armymen 1-0 ahead.
After trailing till the 47th minute, Mandip Singh got the breakthrough for PSB, scoring from a penalty-corner.
Just three minutes later, Gurvinder Chandi sealed the fate of Army XI, scoring the winner for the bankmen from a field goal.
The other semi-final went all the way to penalty shoot-out after regulation time as also extra-time ended 1-1.
BSF took the lead in the 24th minute through Raj Singh while Bimal Lakra restored parity for Indian Airlines in the 64th minute converting a penalty-corner.
For BSF, Devendra Kumar (2), Harbhajan Singh (2), Mandip Singh (1) and M Lakra (1) scored, while Raj Singh missed from his 'stroke' in the penalty shoot-out.
For Indian Airlines, Birendra Lakra (2), Swaranjit Singh (1), Sameer Dad (1) scored, Sanjiv Kumar netted one and missed another. Sandip Michael was the other player for the airmen who failed to score in the shoot-out.
The final will be played tomorrow.
