Manavjit Sandhu missed a podium finish by a solitary point and had to settle for fourth place in Trap event at the ISSF World Cup in Qingyuan, China, on Wednesday.
The Indian marksman shot an impressive 143 (122 in qualifying and 21 in the final) with a series of 24, 24, 25, 24, 25, but lost out after a shoot-off with the Michael Herman, which the American won 5-4.
Fellow-shooter Anwer Sultan finished 24th with a score of 118 (22, 23, 24, 25, 24) while Birendeep Sodhi finished 41st with a score of 114 (25, 22, 22, 20, 25).
The gold in the event was won by world champion Massimo Fabbrize of Italy. He posted a world record score of 147 (124+23).
The silver went to Manuel Silva 145 (122+23) of Portugal with points.
Michael Herman scored 143 (121+22).
